Given 400,000 leaked documents about the Iraq war, on Saturday (October 23, 2010) the NY Times decided to lead with a hit piece against Julian Assange, Wiki Leaks founder:
As the nature of this blog suggest, I’m a skeptic when it comes to the media and their motives, but I admit even I was surprised at how low the Times stooped here.

Glenn compares the NY Times actions to those of Nixon’s “plumbers” (Egil Krogh and David Young) who worked to smear and discredit Daniel Ellsberg because Ellsberg had leaked the Pentagon Papers.
